Sometimes I walk into these uncomfortable conversations with my parents and am not pushed into them (I admit it).

Today I experienced one of those moments when we drove past a billboard advertising a local radio station. The billboard had pictures of pop artists on it that it plays the music of like Adele and the aforementioned Justin Bieber. As we drove by it I said that every time I see that billboard I think Justin Bieber is a woman. It’s the angle of the photo and it being a billboard I’m usually not focusing on it for long. This then lead to my meme discussion (they actually know what internet memes are because I had to explain them a while ago).

I then told them that there’s actually a meme online and blog/Tumblr called Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber.

Did I ever think I would have a conversation with my parents about that Tumblr? No. Did it happen? Yes. Was it a weird moment? Not really. We’ve had so many of those moments they’re kind of not weird anymore. Am I a weird person? Probably. If I wasn’t weird this would be a boring blog.
