We interrupt your regularly scheduled lazy summer Saturday night with this unscheduled Camp NaNoWriMo update.

I’ve been posting regular updates on Twitter but I thought I would update as well here since I’m proud of my progress.

Drumroll…

My word count: 14,339. Just 35,661 to go until my goal of 50,000 words.

Truthfully, I see my memoir being longer than that so the 50,000 is my Camp NaNoWriMo goal and I will probably need to do more than that to complete my memoir.

I’m just proud I’m writing it. I have a really great outline and structure and I still have motivation and drive. Granted I say still and I’m only six days into this endeavor!

I designed a little book cover because NaNoWriMo has a section where you can put book art. Most people just put pictures, etc. I mocked up a silly little cover. My working title is “Me vs. A coma.”

Well, I didn’t really mean for this to be a full blog post. Just a bragging update! 😁 Here’s a chart The NaNoWriMo site does automatically as you update your word count. It’s pretty satisfying to see.
